Ordering Information

A test for Crohn's Disease.

Assay performance characteristics have not been established for Paediatric Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis patients.

The most useful distinction from Ulcerative Colitis is by considering the combination of ASCA and pANCA (Perinuclear Antineutrophil Cytoplasmic Abs).  ASCA negative and pANCA positive results favour a diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis. ASCA positive and pANCA negative results favour a diagnosis of Crohn's disease.
