LABORATORY BASED COLLECTION ONLY.

DEDICATED Lithium Heparin tube on ice is the preferred sample type. Ensure that the correct volume of blood is collected - DO NOT underfill, as exposure to air spuriously increases the level of ammonia.

Shepparton: DEDICATED 4 mL EDTA tube is the only acceptable specimen type at the Shepparton Laboratory.
