The collection protocols below are able to be requested in Cerner. For non-Cerner requests, please specify appropriate collection protocol on the request form to avoid the results being listed in Cerner as a "random" collection.

COLLECTION PROTOCOLS:

  • Pre-Dose
  • 6 to 8 hours Post-Dose
  • Immediately Pre-Dose
  • Random or Unknown

Please note that testing is not performed in-house. Sample will be sent by courier early morning daily Monday - Friday. Where testing is required over the weekend, please phone Central Specimen Reception (03) 9496 3100.

Approval for urgent processing must be given by senior Biochemistry staff.
