CSR Instructions

Instructions for: Heidelberg Specimen Reception

  • Pre-allograft specimens do not have to be processed within 24 hours and can be accepted before weekends and public holidays.
  • Please note, post-allograft specimens need to be processed within 24 hours of collection. 2 x 9 mL EDTA tubes are required and test code is PCHIM. If unsure, please assume sample is post-allograft and follow the given instructions.

  • Specimens will need to be sent to Peter Mac or Alfred Pathology depending on where the patient has had their transplant. If transplant done at The Alfred, code for MISCSO and send specimen to Alfred Pathology.
