Ordering Information

Please refer to Molecular Genetics - Austin Pathology for specific testing details and request form for ordering, indicating the test required and the biopsy number and date of collection of the sample you wish to be tested.

After this form has been completed, please forward it to the Anatomical Pathology laboratory via the fax number found on the request form.

Biocartis IdyllaTM Gene Fusion assay is an automated mRNA-based real-time PCR closed-cartridge assay for the qualitative detection of specific gene fusions for ALK, ROS1, RET as well as MET exon 14 skipping and 3’-5’ expression imbalance for ALK, ROS1, RET and NTRK1/2/3. This assay is able to detect ALK fusion partners: EML4, KIF5B, HIP1, KLC1, TPR and TFG; ROS1 fusion partners: CD74, SDC4, SLC34A2, EZR, TPM3, GOPC, LRIG3; RET fusion partners: KIF5B, CCDC6.

Note: This assay is newly implemented and is not currently covered under the scope of NATA/RCPA accreditation. The laboratory is actively in the process of seeking accreditation for this test.
