Extended B cell panel analysis includes memory B cells.

Please also request a Full Blood Examination (FBE), as this is required to quantitate absolute values and must be collected at the same time.

For routine B cell analysis, please request lymphocyte subsets, including B cells, refer to Lymphocyte Subsets - Flow Cytometry (Blood).

Collection Instructions

Please collect DEDICATED 1 x Lithium Heparin (no gel) tube AND 1 x EDTA tube. 

This test is time criticalSpecimen must only be collected SUNDAY-THURSDAY afternoons in order to reach the referral laboratory within the required timeframe (24 hours). 

Please do NOT collect on a day prior to a public holiday, as the specimen will not be tested.
