This test is for testing of industrial exposure to arsenic. If testing for organic forms of exposure, e.g. through food ingestion, blood testing is used. Preferred specimen for toxicity and occupational monitoring is urine. This method measures total arsenic. |

Avoid seafood 5 days prior to collection to exclude non-toxic organoarsenic compounds. Random or 24 hour urine collections are acceptable. |
