Collection Instructions
|
EDTA tubes with Trasylol Additive (Aprotinin) can be obtained by calling the central laboratory, (03) 9496 3100. These tubes are not evacuated and will not draw blood into them, therefore collection with a syringe is required. Collection of SST and PPT's are required for testing of Ionised Calcium and PTH. If these tests are requested, then the SST and PPT do not need to be collected twice.
